About Us

On the 15th of March 1927 a community meeting was held and as a result the Flinders Park Methodist Church Football Club was born. The new team to the United Church Association's 'B' Division wore a chocolate and blue guernsey with blue knickers, and capped off their first season with a Premiership. Today, some 90 years since that meeting and with a rich history since, the Flinders Park Football Club continues to thrive as a football force in the Adelaide Football League and promote the sport of Australian Football in the inner Western suburbs.

In 2018 Flinders Park has senior A and B football teams competing in Division 3 of the Channel 9 Adelaide Football League, C grade at C3 level, and Senior Colts in the Red (Under 18.5) division. We offer junior football at all levels of the new SANFL Juniors structure and have one of the strongest junior administrations and playing groups in metropolitan Adelaide.

Also part of the club are the Flinders Park Cricket Club competing in the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association's A2, B2, LO1 and Under 15 levels, and juniors in the Western Suburbs Junior Cricket Association's Under 11 and Under 13 grades. The cricketers have a strong focus on developing talent and youth to enable all players to get the absolute most out of their abilities and we strive for success at every level.

In 2015 we added Netball to the club as part of our ongoing mission to better include the women around our football club and local area, and offer them the opportunity to take part in competitive sport under our banner. We take part in the South Australian United Church Netball Association (SAUCNA) and our 'A' team secured a B3 Premiership in their inaugural winter season, with another two Premierships added over summer 2015/16. Since then we have experienced further successes in both summer and winter, and now field some six winter teams and seven summer teams each season.
