Flinders Park FC Red Alert - 2019 AGM Update
View this email in your browser
A strong turnout at our Annual General Meeting on Friday 6 December - please see the link below for updates from our 2019 Executive Committee. Providing our reports via email to all members was a suggestion at the 2018 AGM, and it is a fantastic sign of a strong community club that our members have such a healthy appetite for information.

The Flinders Park Football Club Executive Committee wishes to express our sincere thanks to outgoing Chairman and Junior Football Director Damien Gallacher for his hard work and dedication to the club over a number of years. Damien has chosen to step down from his role due to increasing work commitments and his expertise and guidance will be sorely missed, however we look forward to seeing him able to relax around the club in future - perhaps in the Woodz Bar on Saturdays!

Following the AGM we now welcome Kristy Amato to the Executive Committee. Kristy is a familiar face around the club and already has experience on our subcommittees, and we look forward to the energy and business acumen she will bring to the Treasurer role.

The 2020 Flinders Park Football Club Executive Committee and their primary responsibilities are below, and we encourage all members to introduce themselves when the opportunity arises.
Trevor Quaini (President, Sponsorship and Cricket)
Steve Winstanley (Chairman and Merchandise)
Josh Keain (Secretary and Communications)
Kristy Amato (Treasurer)
John Cousins (Senior Football)
Sam Snowdon (Junior Football and Maintenance)
Carol Shard (Grants/Funding, Girls Football and Netball)
Dennis Turner (Membership/Subs and Bar/Canteen)
Stephen Hansen (Social, Fundraising and Maintenance)

Don't forget to join us for our Christmas drinks on Thursday 19 December. See below for the full details, and whether you can or can't make it on the night we wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday period and we look forward to seeing you again in 2020!
It was with great pleasure that the Flinders Park Football Club Inc. awarded Life Membership at the AGM to two of our absolute best club people in Peter and Loretta Zemitis.

Peter and Loretta arrived at the club in 2005, and anyone that has spent time at the club since will have seen the power of voluntary work put in by both. Loretta started making coffee and cooking chips on Saturday afternoons during football season and went on to manage the canteen, cook meals, join the Executive Committee, and eventually manage the bar where she can still be found today. Peter runs successful fundraisers each year and completes all the odd jobs required around the club including purchasing goods and general cleaning and maintenance. To try and list all of their efforts and achievements here would only risk missing some - quite simply we wouldn’t be the successful club we are today without them! They have often been the first to arrive and last to leave on match days, and they epitomise the ‘One Club’ culture we promote.

Congratulations Peter and Loretta
The Flinders Park Football Club Inc. is proud to announce our 2019 ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Tim Baker. Tim has been an integral part of our club for over 10 years now, filling many committee and coaching roles particularly related to our junior football and cricket programs. He is committed to us all year round being the current Chair of our Junior Football Committee and helping out with junior cricket every weekend in whatever roles need filling including umpiring, scoring and team managing. Tim is an excellent role model for everyone at Flinders Park - not least his sons Angus, Lachlan and Noah who are progressing through the ranks - and we also wholeheartedly thank his wife Belinda for her excellent support of both Tim and the club.
